A shared position on recognising business activity as grounds for a residence permit.
About the event
Nordic Club UA is setting up an open working group of Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Norway in connection with the public consultation on a new model for moving from temporary collective protection to another type of residence permit.
In the proposed model, self-employment is not yet taken into account on the same terms as ordinary salaried employment, partly because entrepreneurs’ income is difficult to verify.
That is why we want to bring entrepreneurs together, gather real cases and proposals, and shape a shared professional position.
Goal
To build a consolidated position of Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Norway and prepare a joint submission with concrete recommendations on how business activity can be recognised as grounds for a residence permit.
What we want to do
- collect real situations of Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Norway
- identify the main problems and weak points of the proposed model
- discuss how to show that business income is stable and genuine
- develop practical criteria and possible verification mechanisms
- prepare concrete proposals for the høringssvar (consultation response)
- draft a joint document on behalf of the entrepreneurial community
The result we are aiming for
The final result should be a joint submission setting out the position, arguments and recommendations of Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Norway, to be filed as part of the public consultation.
Our aim is not only to voice disagreement or wishes, but to propose a realistic and practical solution that can work within the Norwegian system.
Who it is for
- ENK owners
- AS owners
- the self-employed
- those already running a business
- those planning to start a business who want to help shape a shared position
